Young people friendly quality mark

In July 2010, the Coalition Government confirmed that the 'You're Welcome' quality criteria for young people friendly health services will continue as Department of Health sponsored guidance fo helping local health services put young people's needs at the centre of what they do.

The aim of the South West Young People Friendly quality assurance programme is to provide a framework for local services to continue to be assessed and verified against the Department of Health 'You're Welcome' criteria. The mark is straightforward and will indicate what a service has achieved 'You're Welcome' and has been verified and moderated locally. The criteria offer a chance to identify good practice in supporting young people's health within the school setting, whilst supporting  work to improve services by helping to recognise any gaps.

To find out more about the standards involved take a look at the Young People Friendly Guidance Notes. If are keen to move forwards with this you can get started with the Young People Friendly Quality Mark Criteria.
