The Whole School Approach

The Whole School Approach is central to the Wiltshire Healthy Schools Programme. It provides a model to support change and development involving children, young people, staff, parents/carers and governors.

It also provides a solid foundation from which developments and improvements are embedded in a systematic way throughout the school and effectively contribute to the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of all members of the school community.

Being a Healthy School is not just about children and young people, it is about the Whole School Community. It is not just what happens in the curriculum, it is about the whole school day.

By adopting the Whole School Approach Wiltshire schools ensure full engagement with the school community and secure sustainable improvements.
