Wiltshire Council's focus for Child safety Week this year is on mobile device distraction of adults when caring for young children.

The use of mobile devices to access all sorts of media has increased over the last few years, particularly among young people. While this has been positive for their communication, there are concerns that this may be to the detriment of child safety and child development.

Our campaign is a gentle nudge to remind parents to engage, interact and talk with their children, rather than focus on their mobiles. This will help to prevent child injury and improve child development.
