Wiltshire's Big Pledge - Beat the Clock Challenge

Wednesday 4th April 2018

This year schools will be undertaking a timed challenge whereby you will complete a set number of minutes in order to collect a sport in the Commonwealth Games, which is just about to start. There will be 20 sports to collect in total to complete the challenge.

Sign up will open on 16 April until 13 May 2018 with the Challenge running for 8 weeks between 14 May – 8 July.

How it works

A lead teacher signs your school up to participate the Beat the Clock Schools Challenge by visiting www.wiltshire.gov.uk/bigpledge from 16th April 2018. When the you sign up there will be a place to enter the total  number of pupils taking part which you can complete (rather than have to sign up every child individually)

We will deliver your school's free kit bag and the electronic school resource pack.

Each classroom (or however many classes are involved) is issued with a class participation chart.

From 14th May the children (or teacher) update how many minutes of activity they have done that day/ week. The lead teacher will need to collate the total minutes and log this on the online tool.

The online tool will show how your school is progressing through the challenge with regular milestones along the way.
