Stories of Recovery

Friday 22nd February 2013

A new DVD featuring stories of local people who have recovered from problematic drug use has been sent to Wiltshire Secondary Schools.

Also indcluded on the disc are copies of current national national guidance produced by the Drug Education forum and Mentor during 2012.

This resource has been produced for use by teachers as part of a school programme of drug education and PSHE Education at KS 4 or above.

Although current research suggests the involvement of ex-drug users in drug education can be counterproductive, these local examples may provide material for teachers to discuss with students during lessons.

Funding for this project was provided by the Wiltshire Community Safety Partnership.
