The Charlie Waller Book Club

Wednesday 16th June 2021

A number of Wiltshire schools are a member of this book club, which enables them to receive free books related to mental health.

Further details of the book club and how to sign up can be found here.

Due to popular demand, books when offered are usually "sold out" in a few hours, so it will probably be necessary to sign up for future email alerts to be able to respond in time to obtain copies

This term a choice of two books is offered:

For Primary Schools: The Amazing A - Z of Resilience by David Gumbrell

As this book is aimed at primary school aged children, to be eligible to receive it, you must work with this age group.

For secondary schools: The CBT Art Activity Book by Jennifer Guest

The intricate, attractive designs are illustrated in the popular zentangle style and are suitable for young people in individual or group work. The worksheets use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and art as therapy to address outcomes including improved self-esteem, emotional wellbeing, anger management, coping with change and loss, problem solving and future planning. The colouring pages are designed for relaxing stress management and feature a complete illustrated alphabet and series of striking mandala designs.
