School level reports from Wiltshire survey published

Tuesday 14th December 2021

This week Wiltshire schools and colleges that took part in the Wiltshire Children and Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Survey are being emailed their school level reports in pdf form.

This report will be a summary of the most recent data collection during either 2020 or 2021.

This is a new format in which to present the data, which we hope you will find informative and convenient to use and share with others. This report replaces previous formats, including access to the online Lodeseeker tool.

Schools and colleges will be offered opportunities to attend webinars, to discuss the school level and county reports, during 2022.

In addition to the school level data reports, there will be a series of themed reports, summarising the wider data from Wiltshire. Key findings from the survey, including the summary reports, will appear here during early 2022.

There were nearly 6,000 responses from the survey held in 2020, which took place before it was cut short due to the first pandemic school closures. In 2021, 7,499 pupils completed the survey. The primary phase survey (year groups 4,5 and 6) had a total of 4,181 respondents, secondary (year groups 8 and 10) had 2,258 respondents and Year 12, 1060 respondents.

The survey provides a powerful pupil voice telling us about the lives they lead, their daily habits, their fears and aspirations. We hope that Wiltshire schools will use their data to inform their provision of PSHE education, as well as other aspects of school provision related to health and wellbeing.

Data from this survey will inform priorities of the Wiltshire Healthy Schools Programme, enabling schools to identify and celebrate good practice and identify areas for development. More information about the programme can be found at www.wiltshirehealthyschools.org/about/
