New text service for Wiltshire young people

This new service, which is now live, is provided by Mental Health Innovations who are the charity that run the national text SHOUT service that colleagues may have already heard of.
The new service, commissioned by Wiltshire Council is Wiltshire specific – individuals can text WILTS to 85258 to receive free, confidential support from a trained volunteer via text message, this is available for all ages.
As the service is free it will not appear on the texter’s bill.
Where required the texters will receive Wiltshire specific signposting and the Council, as commissioners, will receive data around the types of support being offered/reasons for texters using the service.
