Gain or retain Healthy Schools status during 2016

A new opportunity is available during 2016 for schools to join the Wiltshire Healthy Schools programme or reaccredit, to retain their Healthy Schools Status.

Monday 18th April 2016 at Rowdeford School (9:30-12:30pm)

Tuesday 14th June 2016 at Beechfield House Hotel (9:30 - 4:00pm)

These training days are for schools taking part in any level of the Wiltshire programme.

The half day in April will enable access to the online audit and is suitable for new Healthy Schools Coordinators. Schools who are already familiar with the Wiltshire audit, need only attend day 2.

Day 2 is suitable for all schools and will provide updates and training related to health and wellbeing in schools.

This course will:

  • Inform participants about the current standards for the Wiltshire Healthy Schools Programme at Bronze, Silver & Gold levels
  • Provide a framework for a whole school approach to improving health & wellbeing
  • Enable schools to gain Healthy Schools accreditation  (now valid for 3 years on completion)

All Primary and Secondary teachers, Headteachers, Healthy Schools Co-ordinators – all Key Stages

One Half Day and One Full Day

£150 to all schools

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Understanding of the current Wiltshire Healthy Schools criteria;
  • Knowledge about how to provide evidence to meet the criteria;
  • The tools needed to commence or continue the Wiltshire Healthy Schools process.
