Free Wiltshire session: Young People who self harm 10th January 2017

The first session of the new Wiltshire School Mental Health Network is now available to book.

Young People who self-harm: Understanding self harm and supporting young people who self harm.

Tuesday 10th January 2017 9:30am-4:00pm at Sarum Academy, Westwood Road, Salisbury. SP2 9HS

This free one day course is designed for school staff - including support staff, SENCOs, School Health Nurses, Parent Support Advisers, PSHE Coordinators and Teachers. 

The training will be delivered by Ruth Garside, Child Psychotherapist with Barnardo’s and Teresa Day from the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust 

By the end of the session you will have:

  • Increased knowledge about self-harm
  • Increased confidence in recognizing and responding to self-harm
  • Familiarity with some useful strategies that support recovery from self-harm
