CAMHS summer holiday support for Wiltshire schools

This document explains support available from CAMHS to schools in Wiltshire over the 2021 summer holiday period.

Throughout the pandemic CAMHS services have remained open whilst adhering to Covid requirements. Services continue to be available as normal.

A summary of the information from the above document is provided below:

1. Mental Health Support Teams in Schools (Wiltshire)
These schools can continue to access support from the MHSTs over the summer holidays.

The Wiltshire teams (Salisbury and Devizes, Trowbridge and Westbury and Chippenham & Royal Wootton Bassett) have been in touch with all the schools that are covered by the MHST programme to explain the offer.

2. Referrals to Wiltshire CAMHS
Our usual referral processes remain in place over the summer.  Please visit the CAMHS website for information about how to make a referral and for contact details relating to the Wiltshire Single Point of Access. https://www.oxfordhealth.nhs.uk/camhs/support/referral/ 
   
3. Self Help resources on the CAMHS website
We have recently updated the website with additional self-help resources for children, young people and their families.

4. CAMHS Urgent Mental Health Helpline
The BSW CAMHS urgent mental health helpline can continue to be accessed during the summer period for urgent mental health concerns.  The number is 0800 023 2133
