Wiltshire’s Children and Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Survey update

Thursday 25th February 2021

Following the last letter, in October 2020, in which we recommended that schools not able to take part in 2020 sign up for 2021, we are now encouraging all Wiltshire schools to survey pupils during May-June 2021, whether they took part in 2020 or not.

The survey will reopen from Tuesday 4th May – Friday 11th June 2021.

We feel that all schools will find their data from 2021 essential in assessing the current health and wellbeing of their pupils and informing school planning to meet their needs, alongside planning for recovery and the future.

The data collected during 2020 will still be used as part of a countywide comparison sample to compare the differences before and after the lockdown, but schools that take part in 2021 will only receive school level analysis of the most recent and most relevant data.

Further information, including how to sign up, can be found in the letter posted on Right Choice.

If your school previously signed up for the now postponed January/February 2021 reopening, you will still be signed up for 2021.

This survey is for all pupils in years 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 including FE colleges and participation is free for all schools, academies and colleges. It provides invaluable data for schools/colleges to monitor impact and set priority areas for improvement for the health and wellbeing of pupils.
