Wiltshire's Big Pledge

Monday 17th March 2014

During March Wiltshire’s Big Pledge was launched, a new project which is part of the Legacy for Wiltshire programme. You can now sign up and get involved. The aim of Wiltshire’s Big Pledge is to help people to make a difference to their health and wellbeing and give something back to the community. Everybody can get involved. It starts on April 2nd for 12 weeks but you can visit our website now to make your pledge.

Individuals, families and groups can register a pledge at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/bigpledge. Those children under 16 who wish to pledge, will be required to be part of a school, class or group pledge which is hosted by an adult over 18 years.

Pledges could range from trying to get fit, volunteering in your community or perhaps putting on an event to raise money for charity. The Big Pledge team, will be there to support you every step of the way. The more pledges that are made, the more it inspires people to get involved and that’s what we want as we know this will make a positive impact on our communities. We can’t wait to hear what people are up to and see the results.

What will you or your school pledge to do?

Many of the Wiltshire Healthy Schools plans, currently being implemented to improve the health and wellbeing of children, will fit well with the themes of the Big Pledge.
