Wiltshire Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

A new wave of Youth Mental Health First Aid training is being delivered this year with the first dates now available for booking. Forthcoming dates can be found here

Youth Mental Health First Aid is an internationally recognised programme designed to promote awareness of psychological and emotional well-being and mental health and to support professionals to recognise and respond to mental health issues in 8-18 year olds.

Key areas covered within this 2 day course include:

Emotional, mental, social and psychological well-being
Eating disorders, Self Harm, Suicide
Child, adolescent and family psychosocial development
Depression, Anxiety, Psychosis
Bullying, cyber bullying
Promoting protective factors and good parenting.

The Youth MHFA course will teach you how to:
• Enable staff to recognise the early signs of a mental health problem in young people
• Enable staff to feel confident helping a young person experiencing a mental health problem
• Enable staff to guide a young person towards the right support

A charge of £100 (reduced to £75 for Thrive Hub Schools)
