WAY secondary school PSHE conference

Thursday 3rd December 2015

Wiltshire Assembly of Youth (WAY) would like to ensure that young people are consulted about the PSHE education that they receive, to ensure it meets the needs of all pupils.

A Wiltshire PSHE conference for secondary school pupls and staff will be held on the 16th March 2016.

This will be a chance to:

  • Hear from WAY about aspects of PSHE of particular significance to local young people
  • Plan ways to consult with young people, to ensure that the school programme of PSHE meets the needs of pupils
  • Consider further resources of support to improve the quality of teaching in PSHE

This event will include input from the personal finance education group (pfeg) on teaching about financial capability.

We hope that this event will support schools to more effectively respond to the concerns of young people, at a local and national level, who feel that aspects of PSHE education aren't curently meeting their needs.
