Time to Talk Day on Feb 4th 2016

Monday 11th January 2016

You can download a flyer about the day and schools can order activities for staff and students here http://www.time-to-change.org.uk/timetotalkday-school

We all have physical health. mental health issues are common and affect 1 in 4 people every year. It's a normal part of life, so let's get the nation talking.

A simple chat can make a real difference. You don't have to be an expert - a text, a quick walk together, asking "How are you?" (and genuinely listening to the answer) are all ways to show family friends and neighbours and coleagues that you care. Listenibng is just as imporatnt as talking, and it can take practice.

Non-judgemental listening and giving reasurance are some of the skills taught on a Mental Health First aid course. The next Youth mental Health First Aid course for schools is later this month.
