Teaching food and nutrition - free online primary course

Tuesday 15th December 2020

A new, free online course for primary school teachers has just launched.

The Characteristics of good practice in teaching food and nutrition (primary) course explores nine characteristics of good practice when teaching food and nutrition. The interactive course (based on the document of the same name) seeks to help teachers engage with the characteristics by providing:

  • key information about good practice in food and nutrition education;
  • teacher checklists;
  • case studies
  • links to supporting food and nutrition resources;
  • reflection questions and audit sheets for note taking.

The course takes around two hours to complete. On successful completion of the course, a certificate can be downloaded.

Full details of the course can be found here
