Premier League Primary Stars launch

Friday 31st March 2017

Launched this week, Premier League Primary Stars is an exciting new national learning programme for primary school girls and boys aged 5-11. The resources cover key topic areas for PE, PSHE, English and Maths, across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Using the appeal of sport to connect pupils’ learning to the world around them, Premier League Primary Stars wide-ranging resources supplement teaching with an array of multi-sport themed examples.

The free resources cover key topic areas for PE, PSHE, English and Maths and include activity ideas, worksheets, fun assemblies and teacher notes. Each resource also features supporting videos that use footage from the classroom, playground and football to bring the topic to life.

The programme is available for all primary school teachers and pupils in England and Wales, and all the resources have been developed in partnership with primary school teachers and subject experts.

The Premier League’s values underpin the programme and encourage children to:

  • Be ambitious – work hard, be resilient and never give up on their goals
  • Be inspiring – set a great example to others
  • Be connected – cooperate with others and work well in a team
  • Be fair – embrace equality, be considerate and think of others

The digital materials also offer primary school teachers tips and lesson guidance to improve their confidence and skills in teaching PE.
