Pioneers Wanted!

Monday 17th April 2023

Wiltshire Centre for Independent Living (WiltsCIL) are looking to work alongside Young People 12 – 25 years, with lived experiences of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, whether diagnosed or not, to find out what is important to them, as they grow up and move on into Adulthood.

We are looking to have experiences from young people with and Without EHCP’S to focus on their Health needs, Education needs, Employment, family and friendships and anything that is important to them as they move through secondary school and into the adult world.

We are seeking young people who wish to make a difference and share, in whatever way is best for them, about the NOW and the Next phases in their lives.

We are asking schools to set up a time, where we can meet with a small number of young people, in their setting to capture this information.

Attached is a poster that can be shared with the young people. For those who may struggle with a group setting, we are happy to meet 1:1, either in school, or in a place of their choosing, (ie home).
