New local contact details for Childline Schools Service

Wiltshire primary schools were introduced to the ChildLine Schools Service at a series of presentations during June 2013. ChildLine, provided an outline of the service to be delivered in Wiltshire Schools from September 2013.

16 Wiltshire schools have so far (May 2014) received ChildLine School Service sessions.

The service is provided free of charge and all resources are provided by The NSPCC.

Objectives

  • To ensure children have an understanding of abuse in all its forms, including bullying, and an ability to recognise the signs of abuse.
  • To ensure children know how to protect themselves from all forms of abuse.
  • To make them aware of how to get help and sources of help (including ChildLine).
