Latest free mental health book from the CWMT book club

Tuesday 30th April 2019

The latest title in the CWMT Mental Health Book Club is going to be 'The Mental Health and Wellbeing Workout For Teens" by Paula Nagel.

‘The Mental Health and Wellbeing Workout for Teens’ aims to help young people take care of their mental health. It gives practical tips and guidance for navigating unhelpful thoughts and habits, helping young people build their own mental health ‘workout’ to boost their wellbeing and resilience.

A real strength of this book is the fact that it has been informed by the experiences of young people. The case studies convey how they think and feel, helping keep professionals rooted in teens’ experiences of things like self-comparison and catastrophising, rather than adult interpretations of them.

Interesting information about the developing teenage brain helps the reader to understand how young people experience unhelpful thoughts and feelings and lends validity to the practical exercises. The way the book has been structured means that it can be used in a personalised way for each person and that young people, professionals and parents can dip in and out of the chapters as they wish.

Opt-in for this book will open on Monday 13 May 2019
