Healthy Schools Quality Assurance visits

Friday 8th November 2013

This week and next, several schools that have recently submitted applications for Healthy Schools status are being visited by members of the Wiltshire Healthy Schools Quality Assurance Group.

At least 10% of schools who apply are visited each year by the multiagency group, representing a range of local agencies and school representatives.

A celebration event will be held later this month for those schools who have successfully met criteria at Bronze or Silver level.

The visits involve a tour of the school, speaking to children and school staff about the impact of activities that have been implemented to help improve the health and wellbeing of pupils. There will be a particular focus on the Healthy Schools standards, for which Wiltshire schools have been collecting and submitting evidence.
