FREE Bereavement Support for Children and Young People Online Induction Training

Monday 28th September 2020

This training has been funded by the Wiltshire Community Foundation and takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.

 More information on this flyer

The training is designed for all professionals who come into contact with children. It is most suited to those who are responsible for identifying bereaved children and offering initial support and signposting. For example, school staff and social care, health, youth, faith and community workers.

For professionals who hold responsibility for undertaking in depth work aimed at supporting a child’s emotional development and wellbeing following a bereavement, this training may serve as a good introduction.

However, we strongly suggest that a higher level of training is more appropriate for these professionals, in order to fully explore the complexities of bereavement and appropriate methods of support. Such professionals may include school pastoral staff and early help and mental health staff. Further to this, details about our First Line Bereavement Support training are available on our website www.wiltshiretreehouse.org.uk

To book onto the free training please complete the registration form on our website (link at the bottom of this page) or email admin@wiltshiretreehouse.org.uk.
