Early years settings should be able to show a clear pathway for help and referral, working with external agencies to provide swift access or referrals to specialist support.
All staff should be trained to support children with emotional and wellbeing with some staff having accessed additional specialist training to provide more intensive work on social and emotional skills.
Monitoring individual children, and throughout the whole early years setting, should be embedded in practice.
