Wiltshire CAMHS. Mental health training for schools (2019-2020)

This series of free 1/2 day courses for schools are delivered by Oxford Health (Wiltshire CAMHS). and are designed to support all staff from Wiltshire primary and secondary schools address issues relating to pupil emotional wellbeing and mental health

These events will focus on practical strategies and tools that school staff can use to support pupils and can be booked on Right Choice.  

  • Supporting young people who self-harm

Wednesday 11th December 2019 - 9am-12pm @ Trowbridge Rugby Club.

or 

Wednesday 12th February 2020 - 9am- 12pm @ Trowbridge Rugby Club.

Trainers: Jill Eatough

By the end of the session you will have increased:  

  • understanding about the issues related to self-harm
  • knowledge about approaches and practical resources available that you can use to support pupils
  • confidence and ability to better support young people with issues related to self-harm
     
  • Supporting anxious children

Friday 24th January 2020, 9am-12pm @ The Stones Hotel, Salisbury.

Friday 27th March 2020, 9am-12pm @ Chippenham Golf Club.

By the end of the session you will have increased:

  • knowledge about approaches and practical resources available that you can use to support pupils
  • confidence and ability to better support young people with issues related to anxiety
     
  • Supporting children who have experienced trauma
