Wiltshire Food in School Project (2015-2016)

In November 2015 Wiltshire Council commissioned Food for Life to work with us on the Wiltshire Food in School Project, supporting 25 schools accross Wiltshire.

Food for Life worked with schools to improve the health of their pupils by supporting them with growing food, teaching cooking and helping pupils understand where food comes from.

The first stage was a scoping project, collecting information from a targeted group of schools.

During January 2016 launch events ran, to enable schools to find out how they could be supported.

Further events were offered during 2016.

Free training for Wiltshire schools

To support Wiltshire schools in 2016 we organised training sessions to give schools ideas and resources as well as the chance to meet like-minded teachers and educators.

Priority was given to the 25 targeted schools, but any schools were welcome to apply and take up remaining places.
