Oral Health Team job opportunity

Many Wiltshire schools have benefitted from support from the Oral Health Team.

A number of schools have used this support to achieve Wiltshire Healthy Schools silver level, by improving children's behaviour in relation to dental health. Monitoring of this work has shown improvements to children’s knowledge and increased numbers brushing twice a day.

Primary schools can book a free session by contacting oralhealthpromotion@gwh.nhs.uk Free toothbrushes and toothpaste will be provided for children, while stocks last.

There is currently an opportunity to join the Oral Health Promotion Team:

COMMUNITY DENTAL SERVICE, ORAL HEALTH PROMOTION TEAM.

Oral Health Promotor

The Oral Health Promotion Team, is looking to recruit an Oral Health Promotor to work as part of the award winning Oral Health Promotion team. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, developing, designing and implementing oral health promotion sessions to a wide range of children and adults throughout Swindon and Wiltshire. Some of these groups will have special needs. The post holder will support senior members of the team during the implementation of current major projects, contributing with the development of resources, teaching sessions and evaluation. Good IT skills are essential.

All applicants with a qualification in child care, teaching or oral health will be considered.

Being a car owner and driver is essential with a UK driving licence.

The post will be permanent. You will be based in the Chippenham Dental Access Center.
